Born on the 7th of November 1977, at Shikharipura, Karnataka to Mr. Anantapadmanabha Bhat and Mrs. Chandramati, Dr Bhat finished her primary schooling in Shikharipura and High School Agumbe respectively and later went on to obtain her Pre-University Course in Megaravalli and Shikharipura and BA in KHP at Shikharipura Govt Degree College, Shikharipura.
