Our First production as a team

Every success story was once mere an imagination, turning that imagination into a reality demands obvious Hardship, Dedication, Determination and above all that a START. On that note, Dhrushya (R) started it's ambitious journey in the world of Theater in the year 2006. The first production that was set under Dhrushya banner was "Gaajipurada Hajama" directed by Smt. Dakshayani Bhat.

....Mesmerizing beauty.. ... Nawab of Gajipura falls in love with a simple girl from the neighbouring state who is kept locked in her room .. he disguises himself as comman man , with the help of his old friend saregama Ali ... - thus goes the story of Play “Gajipurada Hajama” ... “Gajipurada Hajama” is an adapted play from the famous french play “Le Barbier de Seville”. The play has been translated to kannada by Shri P.S. Ramappa. Enacted by Dhrushya Theatre team for the first time in the year 2006 under the direction by Smt. Dakshayini Bhat , the play has been performed thrice in the span of 2 years. Proud moment was that the play took part in an International level Competition at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh competing with 42 Plays from different countries around the globe and ultimately securing 7th place overall. In addition to this Laurel, the play was also awarded with Best Make-up, Direction, Music, Lighting and Stage setup.
